451 Analyst Report: DataCore looks to push I/O processing through the roof for all applications

The longtime SDS vendor is looking to prove that its DataCore Parallel Server I/O management technology may well eliminate one of the perpetual bottlenecks for multicore x86 systems, and as a result improve production throughput while running on standard commodity hardware.

Armed with some impressive SPC-1 benchmark results, DataCore Software is looking to introduce
a new DataCore Parallel Server (DPS) product that goes beyond its traditional storage roots
to bring accelerated I/O capabilities to the datacenter. The DPS technology is a direct offshoot of
DataCore’s SANsymphony V10 product development, which led its developers to identify a key
limitation of the current multicore server environment.
